Update- Start the Countdown!

Canoes on the beach at Pointe Noire

Our time here in the US is drawing to a close.  We find ourselves in a series of lasts… the last church presentation, the last visit with a friend or family member… lots of bittersweet moments.

We have our departure date and plane tickets.  We leave for Congo on March 11.  But there are things to look forward to as well… reuniting with friends in Brazzaville and Impfondo is at the top of the list.

Caleb loves to find the Republic of Congo on every map or globe.
One more last… our last approval needed is to get our visas.  Our visa paperwork has been submitted, and we should have our visas in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, Stephen is studying for his two recertification exams.  He will take those February 20 and 22.

We've been packing the things we think we will need for the next three years- mostly school books and clothes for growing kids!

Anna is trying to do school with the kids in the midst of all of our travels.  It's been a challenge, but we've found creative ways to fit in our school work.

Please keep us in your prayers as we finish our "lasts" and prepare to move forward.

One Year Ago...

One year ago today, we left Impfondo.  It's hard to believe how quickly this year has flown.

We have purchased our plane tickets to return to Congo.  We leave the US on March 11!

What will we be doing as we prepare to leave?

School will go on as usual for as long as we are able.  All of our spare time will be used to pack and weigh trunks and suitcases.

Our last church visit will be with the Georgetown Alliance Church on Sunday, January 26.

Stephen will be busy studying.  He has two tests to take to keep up his medical board certifications.  One will be February 20, and the other will be February 22.

We are going to have a few last minute visits with family, and then we'll be on our way!
